James (aka “JJ”) is a seasoned oil and gas expert. With over 20 years of work experience as a drilling supervisor and engineer he has extensive knowledge of drilling, completions and workovers in leading US shale gas operations in North Dakota and South Texas.

He has worked for industry leaders such as Schlumberger Wireline, Nabors Drilling, Chevron and Cobalt International Energy. JJ has also worked for McKinsey & Company as a subject matter expert consulting globally in their Energy practice.

JJ is known to clients for his strong ability to provide robust recommendations to match operational and budgetary needs and his ability to quickly solve issues that may be brought to his attention. JJ’s long experience on the oilfield means that clients and business partners value and trust the advice he gives.

In his spare time, JJ enjoys the great outdoors whether it be hunting and fishing or travelling the world. He has lived and worked in the USA, Europe, Africa and now in Australia. He hopes to see more of the Asia Pacific region given his close proximity. From living in London he has picked up a love of rugby (from on and off the field) and is a lifelong Detroit Tigers (baseball) fan.
